The Legend of Sturgis

Every August, the quiet town of Sturgis, South Dakota becomes the center of the motorcycle world. What started in 1938 as a small race organized by local Indian Motorcycle dealer Pappy Hoel — the Black Hills Classic — has grown into the largest motorcycle rally on the planet.
For ten days, riders from across the country and around the world roll into the Black Hills to celebrate the freedom of the open road. Legendary rides, roaring engines, live music, racing, and unforgettable nights have made Sturgis a tradition that spans generations.
Today, hundreds of thousands of riders make the journey every year to experience the roads, the people, and the spirit that makes Sturgis unlike anywhere else on earth.
