Steeped in Legend

Located downtown Sturgis, The Knuckle Saloon rests on land that once belonged to the town’s namesake, Colonel Samuel D. Sturgis. Step inside and soak up the rich history – we’re the only biker bar that’s also a museum, filled with antiques and Sturgis memorabilia. Founded in 2000 by Ken McNinny and Bryan Carter with others, The Knuckle Saloon quickly became a hometown staple. The location added an additional Restaurant, Bar, Retail Store and Pavillion in 2018. While on the same property it does have a separate address, cuisine and name; Brews BBQ at The Knuckle featuring Carolina-Style Barbeque. The Knuckle Saloon was purchased in 2023 and is now under the sole ownership of Curtis Venable.

Right in the heart of the action, The Knuckle Saloon is the ultimate gathering spot for rally-goers from all over – from the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to car clubs and beyond.
Built for big crowds and unforgettable moments, The Knuckle features two full-service bars and restaurants, plus 25+ outdoor bars to keep the drinks flowing. Our covered pavilion stage, complete with full lighting and sound, brings in high-energy live bands all rally long.
Take it all in from our massive elevated deck overlooking one of the main streets, or explore our full retail shop packed with Knuckle gear. And yes – we’ve got real bathrooms throughout the property… no porta potties, ladies.
